Moving forward...

We had our last interview for our homestudy last week. It went really well. We still need our local police checks and one more reference for Sher, since she did not have an employee reference.

The next step is to get it all written up, approved by two different supervisors at Lutheran Family Services, a copy then approved by us, and then Lutheran Family will send it to our agency in Minnesota.

We have begun filling out our forms for the ABBA fund which is a covenant type loan through our church. Once our homestudy is approved we can also start filling out grant applications so please pray that God will provide financially as He wills.

We asked Gracie if she thought she'd have a sister by next Christmas, and of course she hopes- and so do we- that it is before then. She did say that she wanted matching Christmas dresses so they could be twins! (Yes- we have explained the skin color difference but that doesn't seem to bother her!)

I don't think there will be much information to report for a while. We are looking forward to begin working with our adopting agency and getting more detailed information about what is next.
