The End Is In Sight

We leave tomorrow!

I'd say I can't believe it...but it's been such a long time coming that it feels time for this to be happening! We won't arrive in Ethiopia until Friday night so please be praying for us as we travel. I am not sure at what point we'll be with Mirtnesh since we are arriving a day earlier than originally planned for our birth family meeting.

After our first day with Mirtnesh she spends the night at the orphanage and is then given to us the next day. We'll have an appointment at the embassy to collect her paperwork and a lot of down time according to our schedule.

Please pray for safety and for Mirtnesh. I can't imagine what she is feeling right now. We're preparing for one of the happiest days of our lives and she may be counting down to one of the scariest of hers. Pray that we'll be sensitive and that God will give us His strength and the ability to comfort her and show her how much we already love her. An extra prayer for the ability to sleep this time would also be great. With Mirtnesh on Ethiopian time and us on American time things could get interesting.

I guess our updates will probably be through just regular emails again and so I'll write whenever we get the chance.

This time next week we'll be preparing for our trip home...with Mirtnesh!
